Meet Dominique Strand from Homeless to Nationwide Beauty Campaign
625 Kosmetics is a Black-owned, small business founded in 2019 by Atlanta based Make-Up Artist, Dominique Strand. In just one year, Strand has created a dream empire. It comes complete with nationwide billboards including mobile billboards in Las Vegas, television commercials in 50 cities on Bounce TV, Fox, CBS, and an official partnership with NASCAR sponsored ARCA series racing driver Logan Misuraca. 625 Kosmetics demonstrates daily growth.
Strand initially began her passion fueled by childhood dreams. Her love of fashion, style, and the beautification process led Dominique to her current path. She yearned to be a household name like the other high-end beauty products she had always admired. As she was gearing up to make her dream a reality, she was brutally interrupted by difficult life circumstances. Her whole life underwent a negative shift within a matter of months. Strand’s father was facing a life-threatening illness and, she had found herself homeless and living out of her vehicle. At her lowest point, Strand decided to shift all of her energy toward bringing to fruition something that could change her life forever. She began to write down her vision for her make-up company.
Slowly but surely, Strand encountered the people who would eventually become the team members she needed to make 625 Kosmetics a reality. Currently, 625 Kosmetics has teamed up with Nicole Hardy and 1925 Consulting to help scale their company and become one of the most popular cosmetic lines in the nation. Strand has now worked as resident MUA along with her team for NYSFE magazine during the New York Summer Fashion Explosion virtual fashion show. 625 Kosmetics was a featured cosmetics company at Dillards annual breast cancer awareness event. Recently, Strand interviewed with the lovely Shay Mcray on Fubu Radio — an IHeart radio channel.
