Meet Tie Bond, Ontario’s newest Talent.
Hi Tie , I’m excited about our conversation Today . Tell us more about where you’re from and your upbringing.
I’m from Orillia, a small town in Ontario, Canada. I grew up living the “cottage life” as we call it…you know fishing and the outdoors.
Being in such an environment, how did you get the inspiration for your Single “Palm Trees”?
I traveled a lot with my family throughout the Caribbean and I just channeled that energy to give me that “luxury vibe”.
I took a listen to some of your other music and you can “rap,rap”. How did someone like yourself become a rapper? Who inspired you?
I grew up watching Justin Bieber on YouTube. I really got inspired into this new world. No one where I’m from was rapping. Some people didn’t take me serious, but I never cared about their opinions. I started listening to Lil Wayne ,Wiz Khalifa , Russ, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. Then, I just started mastering my skills from there.
Soo, since you’re mastering your skills… what are some of your essentials for recording? Tell us about your process.
I think about my subject matter and write my lyrics. From there I work with my Producer to select some vibey beats. And then I just simply record.
Sounds like you’ve got it down to a science. What can we expect from you next?
Well…I’m working with Nicole Tiovanni, Pierre Balian and LoodyBoy of the New Artist Development Group to perfect his sound and finish several new hits for his upcoming EP set to debut in early 2020. Within the next five years I want to go on world tour and even explore some acting.
