@SoloLucci on Season 2 of @WEtv “Kold and Windy” and @LoveandHipHop being his Real Life

We’ve been hearing about you now for about 8 years…how long have you been doing music?

Actually, I’ve been doing music for 20 years. Growing up I used to play sports and I was always really competitive . I got tired of people beating me in sports. so I started rapping. Then , people used to rap against me in battles at school but when I rapped nobody was better than me.

How did you get the name Solo Lucci ?

My name been Solo. I got that in High School . I always used to be by myself. and my homeboy used to be like “You always solo ,You always solo”.

I got the Lucci part of my name because I used to wear Louis Vuitton and Gucci at the same time. One day my said “You always Fresh! Wearing that Louis and Gucci …BOY YOU LUCCI!”

Throughout your career you’ve lived and traveled to multitude of Cities..but you’re from Fort Worth. How is Fort Worth, Texas different from everywhere else?

Fort Worth is actually very traditional in family structure and gender roles. Also, there aren’t many Rappers because a lot of the Youth are focused on being “gangsta”.

You’re charming and It’s well known that the. ladies love you…but there’s a difference between that and bringing it to life on camera…What inspired you to join love and hip hop cast?

What you saw on Love and Hip Hop , that was really my real life! I really wasn’t thinking about being on the show, but my Girlfriend (at the time) was on Love and Hip Hop. Then , one day, she got into an altercation and called me for help. I asked her to turn her location on on her found so I could find her quickly. Things got really heated and what started out as a negative situation because somebody suggested I join the cast.

Can we expect to see you on Love and Hip Hop again soon ?

I was on the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood cast. However, Love and Hip Hop Hollywood is no longer. Honestly, at this point I really don’t know. I mean …been doing a lot of “real” acting.

Now you’ve diversified your resume from Reality Television to a scripted series . How has this been different?

It’s less chaotic and it’s more accomplishing . On Reality Television I was just in constant drama. It’s dope now that I get to read all these different scripts, that $h!t HARD! I really love being able to expand my talent through different characters.

CONGRATULATIONS on being renewed for Season 2 of WEtv’s “Kold and Windy” ! That’s a big accomplishment considering so many people still aren’t back to work after the SAGAFTRA Strike.

Yes, the last few years have been eventful! First, we stopped production during COVID . Then, I started back on set with a series titled “Heaux Phase”. The strike happened which resulted in us halting production. Excited to be returning back to “Kold and Windy”.

With your passion for music can we expect to hear some new music soon ?

I think I’ll drop after I finish filming. Stayed tuned.
